Three Charged After Fight Breaks Out In Bridgeport

Police had to break up a street fight that broke out in Bridgeport.

During the incident at 665 E. Main St., an officer who was working a road job saw several people fighting on East Main Street across from Hamilton Street, according to the Bridgeport Police Department.

Multiple police cars arrived on scene and after obtaining information from witnesses along with viewing video camera footage from a business, three men were arrested and charged.

The charges are Joshua Collet, 23, with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace;  Jesus Daniel Villafane, 35, with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace; and Jesus Manuel Villafane, 35, with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Police said Collet and Jesus Manuel Villafane were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the fight and that Jesus Daniel Villafane declined medical attention.

The three alleged suspects were each given misdemeanor summons.
